brown-ie [brou-nee]: a tiny, fanciful, good-natured brown elf who secretly helps at night with household chores.

Anyone see the episode of Losing It With Jillian where she made brownies?

They looked good, despite the fact that they're supposed to be healthier than regular brownies.

I made them this afternoon.

They were...weird.

I used freshly ground wheat flour.  And they were...weird.

The kind of weird that you can't figure out what's weird about them, so you can't really decide if you like them or not...

...I'll have to keep eating them to make up my mind.

I added a bunch of chocolate chips, which I think saved them.  I'm getting my fiber...coated in chocolate.  I call that a win-win.

Here's the recipe if you wanna.

I'm warning you.  They're...weird.

But if you like to be regular, I say go for it.

(Later that day...

As the day has gone on, and I've nibbled on them more and more, they've become better and better.  They taste especially good after pizza.)

(The next day...

After 24 hours, they turn into a completely different food.  NOW they taste like a dessert!)

  1. I tried to watch an episode of that show, but couldn't take more than 15 minutes of it. She drives me NUTS! I wanna hit her...hard. The brownies sound interesting. I will have to try them.

  2. The thing that drives me crazy about this show is that they took the part of Biggest Loser that I LOATHE (all the emotional let's-cry-about-why-your-fat) and made an entire show based on it!

On the other hand, there is something motivating about it. Maybe just the fact that I don't want to be like those people.

I don't like Jillian. I think she is nasty. But that's just my humble opinion.

  5. So, today, the brownies are EVEN BETTER! Guess they're like a good stew...they just get better with time.

They actually taste like a brownie now. Only took 24 hours.

If you can't say something nice, say it behind my back.
