bunnies

Lily talks to her fingers.

Sometimes, she'll be saying things to "Mommy" or "Daddy," so we'll ask her what she wants. Annoyed, she says she wasn't talking to us and goes back to talking to her finger parents.

Her finger parents are much meaner than Steve and I are. Believe it or not, they have much shorter tempers. They give full-on lectures and beatings.

Mommy and Daddy are not the only characters she's summoned to life in her fingers. She's had many friends come and go.

In honor of the Spring season, I made Lily these little bunnies to keep her company. They aren't anything special or time consuming. I just used scrap fabric I had and it took the time it takes to watch half of Gilmore Girls.

I'll make some prettier ones after I get some felt that doesn't make them look like little aliens. But you get the idea.

  1. Hannah used to do the same thing all the time. Sometimes she would do it with a fork and spoon. She would mimmic me and sound terrible, I guess which really wasn't mimmicing me then. But I would worry what people would think about me. Oh the imagination of children.

    Cute idea Amy.

  2. Lily's weird. She's gets it from you, Amy.

I believe there's also a cartoon character that talks to her finger, which is her best friend, and draws faces on it as well.

I can't remember the name off the top of my head. Bee something.
