Warm Nutty Caramel Brownies

I think I may have a problem.

Steve came home for lunch today and looked at my delicious caramelly masterpiece sitting on the stove. He looked up at me with one eyebrow raised and said, "Are you trying to kill yourself?"

"What?" I said, innocently.

He was, of course, referring to the massive amounts of sweets spewing forth from our oven this week. I can't help it. This time of year, I become a crazed baking machine. And I think I'm a good baker. The stretchy pants don't lie.

So. Here is my latest latest discovery. This is a Pampered Chef recipe. It's REALLY good, too. As always, you will need milk. Oh, and this recipe makes a TON. These would be good for a party.

Warm Nutty Caramel Brownies

1 pkg. chocolate chips
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
4-5 rolls of Rollos
1 brownie mix plus the ingredients on the box to make brownies
1 cup mixed nuts

1. oven to 375.
2. in bowl, make brownies according to package and add 1/4 cup of the brown sugar; mix well; fold in about a cup of chocolate chips; pour into a greased or foil lined jelly roll pan, spreading evenly.
3. combine 1/2 of the nuts with 1/2 cup of the brown sugar; sprinkle over brownie batter; bake 20-22 minutes til brownies are set.
4. Quarter 16 of the Rollos.
5. Melt 1/2 cup of the chocolate chips and spoon into a ziploc baggie.
6. Immediately after the brownies come out of the oven, press the remaining Rollos into the brownies randomly. Then sprinkle with quartered Rollos and drizzle the chocolate you melted over them. Sprinkle remaining nuts on top.
