Rice Masterpiece

You'll need:

Food Coloring
Rubbing Alcohol
Ziploc Bags
Uncooked Rice
White Glue
Paper
Wax Paper or Foil

To create:

For each color, mix 1/4 tsp. rubbing alcohol and a few drops of food coloring in a Ziploc bag. (I use the small snack size.)

Add 1/4 cup rice, seal bag, and shake till you're all shook up.

Spread colored rice on wax paper, foil, or parchment paper to dry.

Make designs with glue and sprinkle colored rice over...let dry.

Voila! Easy, cute, and doesn't take a lot of time.

  2. I was sweeping this up for days afterward...there probably is still some under the island. I'll get to it someday. But it kept Lily busy for quite a while. Worth the hassle!

And why can't Riley have glue? Does he eat it?

If you can't say something nice, say it behind my back.
