I'm going to tell you how to make ice cream.
You don't need an ice cream maker.
So don't be scared.
This recipe comes from Cook's Country--my favorite cooking magazine. I highly recommend this it. I haven't tried a recipe I didn't love.

Magic Chocolate Ice Cream

I put Siran Wrap on top of the not-frozen ice cream before I put it in the freezer.
I didn't believe it would actually get hard enough to be ice cream, but voila!

Naturally, I had to add more chocolate too it...for the texture.
Reese's PB Cups, Snickers, Almond Joy and pretty much any other candy bar would be really good on top.
And it's actually chocolaty enough that I didn't need to top with chocolate syrup. And that's saying something.
Hey, do you have to use coffee or expresso??? Could you use instant hot cocoa?? Or was it just for flavoring?

ReplyDeleteIt doesn't make very much. maybe a half of what you'd get at the store. Walmart sells the freezer containers from Ball in the food storage section. It'd probably fill two of those.
