  2. Hmm, you present quite a philosophical quandary. I desire neither to be drop-dead gorgeous nor filthy rich, which is not to say that I wish I could be butt-ugly AND flat broke. Insane beauty can only lead to vanity, and an overabundance of wealth will lead to greed, pride, and selfishness in all but the most disciplined of people. Therefore, I postulate a new debate: which is the worse vice?

Ha ha! Betcha didn't expect this to turn into a theological diatribe, did ya? :)

  3. I would love to be drop-dead gorgeous...because then I could marry someone with lots of money. :)

  4. Probably filthy rich. Then I cold afford the plastic surgery for the drop dead surgery. I have lived the life of not being able to pay the bills and I hate it. I would love to never have to worry about money again.

  5. Max, that is EXACTLY why I posed this question...and though you don't prefer to be one or either...you HAVE to pick one.

And to the rest...No easy fixes.

You can't marry someone rich, cuz then you wouldn't be broke. The question would be moot.

You can't have surgery to make yourself gorgeous, cuz let's just say, you're THAT butt-ugly that even plastic surgery won't solve the problem.

  6. Well, if there is absolutely no way of getting out of it, then I would have to say that being gorgeous is slightly better than being rich. Not because I'd rather be pretty than loaded, but because I'd at least have constant poverty to keep me humble.

  7. Well, wealth really is the reason rich people are so beautiful, they can afford the products, surgeries, ect that it takes... and beauty is why so many people can get rich by having low morals and using their bodies to get more money... but even though they both feed off each other and you can only pick one in the question, I'd have to say beauty, for a couple reasons... 1)like Maxine, the poverty would keep you humble
2)people are nicer to you if you aren't ugly
and 3)money wouldn't make me happy if I felt crappy about myself all the time anyway because I was so ugly...

  8. Hahaha! That was funny. And true...people ARE nicer to beautiful people.

Although, I don't think money is what makes celebrities beautiful. Look at Lyle Lovett or Maria Shriver.

  9. What are you implying about Mr. Lovett?? It's his SOUL that shines through in his beautiful songs. Oh, you mean his face? Yeah, well...

    Excellent points, Erika!

  10. There are celebrities out there that choose to not use their money to improve their looks... it's a choice, if they wanted to be beautiful they have the resources to do so. Men musicians especially seem to think ugly makes them cool. I don't get it.

  11. Ew. Me either. Mic Jagger for one...or Steve Tyler (though I love him)...or the dude that sang "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)."

  12. drop-dead gorgeous and broke :) then you could get a job that makes good money just on your looks, or... if you were rich and ugly you could have plastic surgery :) So.. either ... would work for me

  13. I would rather be rich. Then I could afford to move to the middle of nowhere and never have to deal with the stupid people. And no one to call me ugly :) And then I would just wish my kids didn't look like me!

  14. That's a really good idea! AND...chances are, if you're butt-ugly, your kids will be too...so you won't have to worry what they think of you.

If you can't say something nice, say it behind my back.
